Tempe Returns: A 40-Year Legacy Rebuilt

Our Original Home is Back
After 15 months of complete reconstruction, we're thrilled to announce the grand reopening of our Tempe location at 131 E. Baseline Roadâwhere the U.S. Egg story began in 1986.
A Family Legacy of Resilience
Forty years ago, Oscar Gebran arrived in America from Lebanon with a dream. In 1986, he opened the very first U.S. Egg in Tempe, creating a place where quality, community, and family came first. Through decades of serving our neighbors, this location has been more than just a restaurantâit's been a gathering place for generations of Arizona families.
When an after-hours water heater fire devastated our Tempe restaurant in October 2024, we faced one of our greatest challenges. But just as Oscar built this business with perseverance and heart, the Gebran family knew we would rebuild.
Our People Come First
True to our family-first values, all 36 Tempe team membersâmany who have been with us for yearsâwere immediately reassigned to our five other Valley locations. No one lost their job. No one was left behind. Because at U.S. Egg, our team isn't just employeesâthey're family.
Throughout this journey, we've been overwhelmed by the support from the Tempe community. From customers checking in daily to neighboring businesses offering encouragement, you reminded us why we love serving this community.
Rising from the Ashes
With $1.9 million invested and 15 months of meticulous work, we've rebuilt our Tempe restaurant from the studs up. Every detail reflects our commitment to excellence:
- State-of-the-art kitchen with modern equipment for the next 40 years
- Refreshed dining spaces with our signature warm, welcoming atmosphere
- Enhanced safety systems ensuring peace of mind for our team and guests
- The same heart that Oscar poured into this place four decades ago

A Personal Note from the Gebran Family
This journey from devastation to renewal has reminded us why we do what we do. We're not just in the restaurant businessâwe're in the business of bringing people together, creating memories, and being part of our community's daily life.
Our father Oscar taught us that success isn't measured by the challenges you avoid, but by how you rise when life knocks you down. Today, as we reopen the doors of our original Tempe location, we're proof that with family, community, and determination, anything is possible.
This is more than a reopening. It's a testament to 40 years of the American Dream, alive and thriving in Tempe, Arizona.
