The U.S. Egg Design Ethos
A comprehensive guide for our design partners. Our design philosophy is rooted in a modern interpretation of a classic mid-century diner, creating spaces that feel both nostalgic and fresh— places where people can gather, connect, and start their day with comfort and character.
“We’re creating a space that tells our story: one of tradition, community, and the timeless joy of a great brunch.”
Our Logo’s Meaningful Design
Every element of our logo tells the story of the Gebran family and their commitment to community.
The Five Stars
The five stars prominently featured in our U.S. Egg logo represent the five family members who own and operate the restaurant. Each star symbolizes the individual contributions and shared commitment that makes U.S. Egg a true family enterprise.
This symbolism should subtly echo throughout the design—consider incorporating five elements in groupings where appropriate, whether in lighting fixtures, decorative objects, or artistic arrangements.
The Dividing Line
The distinctive dividing line in our logo represents the horizon—the meeting point between tradition and innovation, past and future. It symbolizes our role as a bridge in the community, bringing people together.
In the interior design, this can be reflected through horizontal design elements like wainscoting, the meeting of different materials, or the visual line created by pendant lighting.

Ambient Lighting
- • General Illumination: Flush-mounted pot lights providing even, non-overpowering ambient light
- • Ceiling Enhancement: Hidden LED wash for soft cove-lit effect where structurally possible

Accent & Task Lighting
- • Pendant Lights: Amber glass pendants in circular or teardrop shapes over key seating areas, creating intimate pools of light

- • Statement Piece: Sputnik-style chandelier in central location (near entrance) for retro drama—warm, brushed metals only
- • Decorative Lighting: Strategic use of light to guide attention and highlight brand narrative elements
Storytelling Through Decor & Art
